strange place to lit a fire

Just a picture I forgot about.

I stumbled across this situation while I was walking through the city after work. I had my 5D with a 50mm in hand, and was lucky to get this very short lived situation.

Afterwards, the man told me that he had smelled smoke, and when he stopped and looked, there was a fire burning in his trunk. After he put out the fire, we found a melted lighter, and concluded that it must have been crushed under some junk and started it all.

So be careful what you put in your trunk.

LOL! I’m glad that you explained it, because I never would have figured this one out!

You can’t imagine what I thought when I first saw it. I came there before he got hold of that extinguisher. He was actually very calm, walking, not running, towards a TNT truck that had stopped and asked if he could borrow the fire extinguisher. Then he walked back to his car, still not running, and put out the fire.
